What’s the difference between yoga and yoga therapy? And what can it bring you?
Yoga is well known for its ability to improve flexibility, build strength and enhance your overall physical wellbeing. It supports your posture, boosts your energy and helps you feel more balanced in your body. That’s why more and more healthcare providers are now referring patients to yoga to help manage physical complaints like tension, back pain or fatigue.
But yoga offers much more than physical benefits. It also supports your mental and emotional wellbeing. A regular yoga practice helps you find calm in the chaos, improves focus, and gives you tools to deal with stress in a healthier way. Over time, it deepens your self-awareness and strengthens the connection between body, mind and heart.
So where does yoga therapy come in?
Yoga therapy takes it a step further. While general yoga is often group-based and focuses on overall health, yoga therapy is more personalised. It’s a one-on-one or small group approach that uses the tools of yoga, like postures, breathwork, mindfulness and more, adapted to your unique needs, challenges or health conditions.

Somatic and restorative yoga on Wednesday
Every Wednesday evening I teach a somatic and restorative yoga class in the Mind Body Matters studio in Wilrijk.
WHEN
– Weekly, every Wednesday, at 6.00 PM (60 minutes).
– You are welcome from 5.50 PM.

If you prefer to book an individual yoga session, you can contact me directly. An individual yoga session is tailored to your specific needs and abilities. This means that we will address the specific health challenges, limitations, and goals you may have. Together we create an individual yoga plan adapted to your specific needs and goals.
Yoga is offered both in-person and online.

Businesses and associations
Businesses and associations are also welcome for tailor-made yoga workshops. You can opt for an introduction to yoga. Other topics include strengthening your back, reducing fatigue and stress, improving your flexibility, chair yoga for seniors, yoga and breathing, meditation and much more. A combination of these topics is also possible.
The price is negotiable and based on the content of the workshop.
